Summary 

Financial Planning & Analysis Manager (“FM”) is responsible to analyze financial data, monitor financial positions, and report accurate and insightful information on company’s profitability, liquidity and trends so as to help management make well informed decisions. FM will be working closely with various projects teams and UBM Asia local office finance leaders to understand and support their operations from a financial perspective.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate management and project teams on the Business Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting process, challenge their assumptions as appropriate and assist them to develop a sound annual budget and quarterly forecasts
• Organize division level annual budget and quarterly forecast review meeting
• Track and monitor financial status of the business plan by analyzing actual results in comparison with the budget / forecasts, investigating significant variances and proactively discussing with management and project teams on performances and issues
• Analyze financial data and processes to identify trends, improvement opportunities and advise management on actions to improve financial performances
• Prepare periodic and ad hoc financial reports / analysis for management review and group reporting purposes
• Assist management to develop and drive cost reduction, process improvement and/or policy development initiatives and establish close communication / working relationship among project teams, finance and other functions
• Assist Asia finance improvement plan project team
• Perform any ad-hoc assignments given as and when required

Requirements

• Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting required
• Qualified accountant of a professional accountancy body, 3+ years PQE (HKICPA/CIMA/ACCA/CMA/Overseas equivalent)
• Excellent skill on Microsoft office. Previous experience with financial consolidation systems is beneficial – Hyperion and HFM are preferred
• Strong analytical skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
• At least 3 years of working experience as a Financial Analyst or in a related field with a multinational company; regional experience looking after multiple markets is preferred
• Strong business sense, value business partnership. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, team player
• Adaptable/Flexible: being open to change in response to new information, different or unexpected circumstances, and/or to work in ambiguous situations
• Work under pressure and enjoy problem solving
• A dedicated person with high level of integrity
