About the Opportunity:

This position will be a great opportunity for someone who is interested in starting or building their career in the events industry. The Event Travel Coordinator will support the team in various aspects of events with a primary focus for the first 18 months on travel management.  Based on performance, business needs, and personal interest there is then an opportunity to move into other parts of the business.

1. Duties and Responsibilities:    

  • Booking FIT and Group travel for events – including researching possible fares / routes and ensuring adherence to the event travel policy
  • Delegate management – including liaising with delegates about their event experience, utilizing cievents IT systems (training provided), etc.
  • Supporting the operations of events – including accommodation management, transfer management, and other areas as needed by the business
  • Ensuring all relevant reporting is completed, updated & delivered in a timely manner
  • Such other duties as management may from time to time reasonably require

2. Skills/Experience:

  • Previous experience in event and / or travel industry preferred
  • A passion for travel and learning about other cultures and parts of the world
  • A positive attitude & willingness to learn
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work in high pressure environments and meet deadlines
  • Excellent communication skills in spoken and written English
  • Cantonese and / or Mandarin
  • Previous experience in Galileo/Amadeus or similar GDS preferred
