Job Summary:

The role of the part-time Contract Analyst (project base) is to review a variety of Chinese-language commercial contracts relating to Isola’s business operations in order to ensure their terms and conditions protect Isola’s best interests. This role supports multiple business units within the company including sales, marketing, finance, purchasing, and research and development. Contracts may include, but are not limited to: terms and conditions of sale, terms and conditions of purchase, confidentiality and non-disclosure agreements, vendor/service provider agreements, rebate agreements, and consignment agreements.

Job Duties:

• Analyze all clauses, stipulations, obligations and liabilities to ensure contracts adhere to Isola’s standard practices and best interests.
• Assure accuracy and appropriateness of contract text.
• Understand contract clauses’ implications on corporate and business unit objectives.
• Be familiar with contract laws to verify that Isola is in compliance and avoids future legal complications. 
• Provide redlined recommended modifications to each contract.
• Assist in working with internal business teams on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts.
• Draft standard contract clauses in accordance with prescribed templates and guidelines.

Skills:

• Detail-oriented and thorough.
• Excellent verbal and written skills (Chinese and English) and good command of written German a plus. Analyst must be able to express contractual terms effectively and accurately to avoid ambiguity or confusion.
• Excellent analytical skills.
• Ability to identify issues and exercise good business judgment.
• Good time-management; many contracts are time-sensitive.
• Understanding of electronics industry a plus.

Education and Experience:

• Ideal candidate has completed the 1st year or the 2^nd year of studies in a Law or related discipline.
• Must have successfully completed coursework in contracts.
