Job Description

Research and Survey Officer (Ref. RSO-RSD)

Research and Survey Division

Master Pay Scale Point 15-27 ($28,040 - $49,445)

3-year probationary contract

 

Candidates should have:

  1. A recognized university degree or equivalent in Social Science, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field with statistics as one of the subjects taken
  2. Strong background in research methodologies and practical experiences in quantitative methods, data collection, statistical compilation and analyses;
  3. At least 2 years of post-graduation experiences at an appropriate level of responsibility in statistics-related work;
  4. Proficiency in writing English and Chinese research reports.

 

Main Duties Include:

  1. To plan, organize and conduct research, including survey projects, relating to products and services, quality of services and consumer opinion;
  2. To liaise with product suppliers and service providers, government departments, trade associations and professional bodies in regard to survey and research projects;
  3. To write paper and research reports in both English and Chinese and articles for the Council's website and "CHOICE” magazine.

 

Terms of Appointment & Fringe Benefits

Appointment will be offered on 3-year probationary contract. Fringe benefits include paid leave, medical insurance and MPF.
