Our client is a leading retail and wholesale operator in lifestyle and home accessories market.  They are now looking for a Merchandising Director to lead and manage the buying team to achieve the company’s business objectives.

Job Descriptions

• To manage a team of sourcing and buying executives in Hong Kong office.
• To formulate merchandising strategy and identify all categories of products to be sourced; response to customers’ needs, market trends and business objectives.
• To handle product sourcing and buying with existing / overseas suppliers, trade show, web, etc., and to plan for new season buy including OTB.
• To drive supplier improvement and make sure the product quality is aligned with company objectives.
• Inventory management; to participate in shop presentation and visual merchandising.

Requirements: 

• Degree holder or above, with 10 years solid buying or sourcing experience in lifestyle / home accessories / FMCG categories.
• Experience in managing a large number of vendors simultaneously and excellent in negotiation.
• Strong leadership and management skills with good market sense.
• Attend to every detail; willing to work hard and being hands-on.
