About the Role:

Lead the implementation of people, leadership, talent and organisational development solutions to achieve our strategic growth plans and drive a high performance culture.  The aim of this role is to provide a pro-active, professional and progressive service to the business through the development and on-going implementation of an APAC people development strategy ensuring  thought-leadership, insight and solutions address both the short and long term development needs of a diverse and complex region.

 

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:

  • Develop and deliver the APAC people development strategy ensuring alignment to global and regional business goals

  • Own, develop, manage, evaluate and continually improve the Talent Management process and outputs (people review, succession planning, secondments, placements & development) on behalf of the region

  • Act as APAC Lead on Global/Group development and leadership programmes

  • Continuously review and ensure consistent delivery of an impactful employee induction and on-boarding programme

  • Work closely with Group People Development and Country HR leads to ensure BSI Leadership Behaviours and global leadership programmes are embedded in the region

  • Identify regional wide learning & development needs, develop and implement flexible learning plan across the region from the needs analysis to support retention, wider people & career development.

  • Provide organisational development solutions for the region or specific countries as required to deliver change initiatives or support business strategy.

  • Report against key people development metrics including succession planning, mobility, and performance

  • Monitor, review and report on annual performance development review outputs and ensure regional and global development initiatives align to development plans;

  • Remain closely connected & aligned to the business through regular engagement with key stakeholders to ensure all plans and solutions are fit for purpose;

  • Provide monthly, quarterly and annual data against KPI’s and key trends and plans to address any areas of concern;

  • Support, coach, develop and manage wider HR team and business members as required

  • Lead operational practice in the use of psychometrics for selection, recruitment and development across the region. Provide a practitioner service to the business for critical roles or development solutions, as appropriate.

About You:

  • University degree in human resource management/business studies or equivalent preferred and recognised learning & development professional qualification.

  • Learning & development experience in the Asia Pacific environment required.

  • Experience of developing, implementing & embedding development methodologies to drive performance & behaviours essential

  • Experience of delivering leadership development programmes across multi-cultural groups required

  • Proven experience as a Learning & Development or People/Leadership development specialist in a commercial international business environment & multi country responsibility essential

  • Experience of managing integrated talent development and talent management processes advantageous

  • Confident in building and embedding a range of strategic and operational HR processes and procedures across different business units e.g. talent & career development, performance related reward

  • Proven experience of influencing, persuading and coaching senior leaders/managers essential

  • Ability to understand and translate future people, leadership and career development trends for a business

  • Experience of building high performing business team advantageous

  • Excellence communicator who is confident, capable and credible

  • Commercially astute, focused on adding value

  • Team player with positive ‘can do’ attitude with high energy levels, self starter and results-driven

  • Able to work under pressure and sometimes to tight deadlines

  • Consultative in approach with the ability to build lasting relationships with business leaders and managers

  • Be self motivated, flexible, and have excellent time management/planning skills

  • Ability to work as a partner with the Country leadership teams and HR teams.

  • Excellent prioritisation & organisation skills

  • Must be qualified in utilising and interpreting range of globally recognised psychometric tools

  • Computer & HR systems literate

  • BSI business language is English therefore good level of written and spoken English is essential, traditional Chinese or mandarin highly advantageous
