Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • To ensure that balance sheet accounts for the Asia-Pacific companies are fully reconciled/analyzed each month, that balances are justified and accurate and, report exceptions or items of audit concern.
  • To ensure that accurate and timely monthly financial results, monthly revenue forecasts and quarterly cost forecasts are provided for the Asia Pacific region to the US management team.
  • Identify and address procedural problems/deficiencies impacting integrity and timeliness of financial information.
  • To maintain a thorough understanding of the revenue and cost drivers and trends for the Asia-Pacific region and explain/report these to senior management.
  • Responsible to report any detected trends in incoming revenue or denials, as well as procedural problems, to the client. To provide recommendations of these trends and/or problems.
  • Monitors all statistical reports weekly to resolve trends and determine deficiencies
  • Accountable for daily cash report verifying all discounts have been given and researching accounts with large outstanding balances
  • Working closely with internal AR team to monitor collection activity by using weekly reports to resolve trends and determine collectability of accounts
  • Monitor new trends and mandates in order to keep compliant with any regulatory changes
  • Work closely with all internal and external business partners on credit control and settlement issues
  • Reviews credit balance report monthly and resolves credit balances

Requirements:

  • Degree holder in Accounting/Finance or Business Administration, and member of an international accounting association.
  • At least 10 years’ experience in multi-national companies preferred, at least with 6 years in a similar capacity
  • Experience in media or subscription business preferred but not essential.
  • Good presentation skills, strong analytical mind and problem solving techniques.
  • PeopleSoft and TM1 knowledge and experiences strongly preferred.
  • Fluent English required, Cantonese/Mandarin an advantage.
  • Excellent skills in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
