Our client is a leading, large, listed global consumer products company which is world-renowned for its dominant market share and its strong growth prospects. The company is now seeking to hire an additional lawyer for its regional legal team based in Hong Kong.

• Regional role (occasional travel is required)

The successful candidate will serve as legal counsellor and strategic adviser to Senior Management and Board of Directors. His/her roles include identifying, measuring, and communicating potential legal and regulatory risk in relation to all business activities and general company matters across the region; drafting, reviewing and negotiating a wide array of commercial contracts and agreements; assisting in the management of intellectual property registration; advising on contentious matters and liaising with various stakeholders including external legal counsel.

The ideal candidate will be a Hong Kong qualified lawyer with at least 8 years of post-qualification experience including more than 2 years of experience working in an in-house environment. Candidates who are experienced in different types of law (corporate/commercial and commercial litigation/contract disputes) will have advantage. The position requires excellent drafting and negotiating skills in English as well as strong ability in speaking and reading Chinese (Mandarin).
