Responsibilities:

• To develop a set of standard/canned reports using SSRS
• To liaise with other team members (based in Shenzhen and HK)
• To unit test each report before handing over to SIT team
• To train the user on using standard/canned reports and/or creating ad-hoc reports themselves
• To clarify report requirements with user (the contents and layout of all reports to be built have already been defined)
• Develop data and analytics solutions using Microsoft SQL and Azure platforms
• Create informative and interactive data visualizations/models
• Utilize other key components of SQL Server such as SSIS, SSAS, MDS/DQS, R Server.
• Leverage the Azure Platform and Cortana Analytics to deliver cloud and hybrid solutions
• Write relational and multidimensional database queries, flows and movements
• Develop reports, dashboards and analytical workbooks
• Obtain technical certifications in core area(s) of expertise
• Add value to project teams through effective collaboration

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in MIS, Computer Science or equivalent
• SQL and database development expertise
• 3 - 8 years of development or related experience (consulting a plus)
• Must be expert with SQL Server including ETL, data modelling, query design, performance optimization, SSRS, and SSAS cube design
• Experience as a team lead or architect
• Experience creating designs for projects or solutions
• Experience working and interacting with clients or customers
• Experience with all phases of the SDLC
• Ability to read and understand technical documents written in English and Chinese, with good communication skills on email and phone conferences as need to communicate with Shenzhen and Hong Kong team.
• Ability to share knowledge and expertise with other innovators and architects
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving skills
