Job Duties:

Reporting to the manager, you will be responsible for active sourcing, merchandising, and inspection processes for all kinds of Home Division Categories.   You need to be good in sourcing, evaluating, and selecting vendors in the APAC region.  Need to ensure all products offered will be achieved with European, worldwide standards and best fit clients’ needs.  Work closely with headquarter in Spain, internal colleagues, and various suppliers in Asia.

Detailed Job Descriptions

• Frequent travels for working with suppliers & independent QA/QC inspections in different countries, including China and south East Asia countries, such as Vietnam, Indonesia, Thailand, & Philippine.
• Strong product knowledge in various materials, accessories, parts, components of home products.
• Details minds and good senses for colors, measurements, labels and packaging.
• Capable to offer technical advice to suppliers or solve production and quality problems
• Specify timeframe for suppliers to implement improvements or special requirements
• Evaluate samples (sub-assembly product samples, pilot-run samples or customers’ samples) including materials, accessories, parts, components etc.
• Communicate customers’ requirements to suppliers with respectful tasks & languages
• Negotiate all impossible missions with the satisfied results
• Anticipate buying trips, meetings of quality issues, or new product developments
• Efficient, hard-working & multi tasks team players

Team Player

Other than a senior merchandiser with the above capabilities, we also expect this candidate is able to keep his/her flexibilities as a good team player for the following office works:

• Shipment tracking, Sample Follow-ups, & Coordinate inspection trips / flight schedules with colleagues & suppliers
• Conduct Supplier’s orientations to coach new suppliers and make communications / shipments smoothly to minimize the problems.

Requirements:

• Passionate & high interests on home products, including home decoration, tablewares, furnitures & toys, any senses of home textiles would be advantages
• 5 years or above Experiences in working with manufacturers, trading companies or global sourcing office, knowledges in U.S. & Europe retail markets.
• Strong in product sourcing, product developments, R & D, sampling, quotation, costing, ordering, problems shooting, quality improving.
• Good organization and communication skills
• Proficiency of computer skills
• Good command of English and Mandarin
• Good people and interpersonal skills with super flexibilities to adjust job duties
• Monitoring merchandising performance to achieve company business targets
