CallisonRTKL seeks a Senior Architectural Designer with extensive project design and delivery experience to join its Commercial Architecture group located in Hong Kong. The position is for a lead designer experienced with built residential mixed-use high rise projects.

Responsibilities

• Leads the design process for large scale Asia based residential mixed-use projects
• Works with Asia Residential VP in managing and mentoring residential design team for design quality, detailing, and presentations
• May represent the project or practice as a key contact for client interaction with Asia Residential VP
• May serve as a contributor during client meetings and presentations with other firm leaders
• Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
• Collaborates with firm management to ensure appropriate staffing of project teams
• Thorough understanding of the applicable Asia residential codes
• Achieves project success as measured by client and team satisfaction while achieving financial goals
• Works with Asia Residential VP by contributing to business development activities by fostering client confidence, actively encourages and seeks opportunities for follow-up business, and develops and participates in interviews for potential projects
• Responsible for design quality and design deliverables within the firm and client requirements

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture at an accredited university
• 9-15 years of Architecture experience
• Professional registration required
• Hong Kong permanent resident is a must
• Recognized experience in leading strong creative concepts, thorough design development for residential towers in mixed-use environments
• Provide 2 or more examples of built residential towers in which you played a substantial role
• Knowledge of sustainable principles and LEED accreditation a plus
• Ability to prioritize and concurrently service multiple projects
• Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees
• Strong English verbal and written communication skills
• Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
• Desire to grow a team of professionals through education and mentoring
• Proficient in SketchUp, 3D modeling software (Rhino), Photoshop, CAD plus Revit strongly preferred
