CallisonRTKL seeks an Architect to join its Commercial Practice Group located in Hong Kong. The ideal candidate will have large scale, mixed-use commercial architecture project experience plus marketing, local networking and senior project leadership abilities on projects in Asia and Hong Kong. Having local (Hong Kong) commercial client connections is desired.

Responsibilities

• Engages in business development activities, develops client relationships, leads/coordinates proposal preparation and makes presentations
• Manages large or programmatic complex projects consistent with firm-wide standards for project delivery
• Negotiates contracts with clients, assists in the selection of sub consultants, negotiates fee and contract arrangements including additional services
• Represents the project or practice as the primary contact for client interaction with occasional travel in the Asia region
• Collaborates with other lead professionals to ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations and directs and reviews the work of the project team
• Assists in collection of past due accounts receivables, responsible for overall project profitability and financial management of all assigned projects
• Negotiates critical and controversial issues with appropriate parties
• Serves as the main contributor during client meetings and presentations
• Collaborates with firm management to ensure appropriate staffing of project teams
• Facilitates project scheduling
• Produces and develops technical and design studies and solutions including detailing, quality control and overseeing drawing support staff
• Provides technical guidance to junior staff
• Prepares design and construction document with a sensitivity to design and ensure design and documentation are in accordance with project expectations
• Directs issue resolution and enhances project quality in reporting to internal and external audiences
• Achieves project success as measured by client and team satisfaction while achieving financial goals

Requirements 

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture
• 15+ years of architecture experience
• AP Status 
• Professional registration preferred
• Hong Kong permanent resident
• Recognized experience in design, technical coordination and/or management
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
• Excellent graphic representation
• Effective team player and project coordination skills
• Proficient in both verbal and written Mandarin and English
• Proficiency in AutoCAD
• 3D Modeling, Sketch-Up, Photoshop, InDesign, Revit and/or BIM strongly preferred
• Effective problem solving and interpersonal skills and ability to interface with all clients and employees
• Interacts well with other disciplines and clients in a manner that builds productive relationships
• LEED accreditation preferred
