Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage on-boarding processes of Private Clients to collect Client Due Diligence information and review account opening documents
  • Partner with AML Compliance to ensure KYC and AML full compliance with rules and regulations on account documentation
  • Administer on-going maintenance of account documentation and other account servicing functions
  • Provide advice and guidance to Front Office regarding inquiries on documentation requirements and liaise with AML Compliance where necessary
  • Provide consistent standard & approaches for on boarding client documentation and related activities
  • Participate in Client Acceptance  Committee (CAC) Meetings and ensure timely escalation of issues
  • Responsible for the management and development of the team, including performance management, training and resourcing
  • Ensure timely escalation of issues to Head of SECLI / Head of Operations and other respective parties where appropriate
  • Prepare management reports
  • Keeps abreast of regulatory developments
  • Comply with external and internal compliance and regulatory requirements, including the Bank’s policies, operating procedures and controls to meet the Bank’s and regulatory requirements and protect the business from financial and reputational risk
  • Establish and document policies, operating procedures and relevant controls to meet Bank, local and regulatory requirements, including testing and certifying (or considers and escalates) the adequacy and effectiveness on a regular basis.
  • Establish and maintain risk assessments to identify and assess the material risks that arise in the area of responsibility
  • Ensure rigorous enforcement of requisite controls in accordance with the Bank’s policies and timely clearance and escalation of risk issues.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 – 8 years of relevant hands on experience in Private Banking
  • Well versed in AML and KYC regulatory requirements and practice for private banking industry
  • Strong team player and able to work under pressure
  • Excellent communication and inter-personal skills
  • Previous managerial experience required
  • Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese
