We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Vice President, International Subsidiary Banking. 

In this role, you will

  • International Subsidiary Banking is Commercial Banking’s international proposition which aims to provide banking coverage to the subsidiaries of Commercial Banking customers within the Large Corporate and Mid- Market Enterprise segments. The International Subsidiary Banking strategy is to provide consistent, in depth and dedicated coverage across the HSBC network with the end goal to deepen our relationship with our customers. The International Subsidiary Banking business is a significant contributor to Commercial Banking and consists of a network of dedicated bankers across more than 40 countries.
  • The International Subsidiary Banking Relationship Manager manages a portfolio of International Subsidiary Banking customers, with accountability for achieving business objectives, service, risk and operational delivery. These clients have varying needs from basic client servicing to more complex multi product needs.

  • Deliver excellent banking services, integrating our capabilities into customers’ strategic business development processes
  • Apply industry and credit expertise to manage a portfolio of commercial relationships in various industry sectors
  • Provide one stop financial solutions and proactively manage a complex portfolio of clients, becoming a trusted advisor to lead strategic dialogues with clients at a portfolio level through the understanding of specific business requirements and delivering creative and flexible customer solutions
  • Work to maximise our customers’ satisfaction
  • Develop new customer relationships to build and strengthen your portfolio
  • Close liaison with colleagues from other lines of business, business segments, products and services 

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements

  • Extensive Corporate banking experience with recent exposure in a front line role, including exposure to sales, commercial lending, credit structures, risk assessment and trade finance.
  • An established track record in winning new business and growing existing income
  • Extensive corporate and commercial banking experience, with a license under the Securities and Futures Ordinance
  • Good level of business acumen and commercial awareness, including economic, cultural, procedural and regulatory issues
  • Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to interact, influence, and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Proactive, customer-driven approach, with a strong marketing orientation and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Good communication skills in English, French and preferably Mandarin
