We are looking for a high calibre candidate to take up the following position:

• To contribute to the revenue growth of Transtar by generating sales with existing and new customers, within targeted industry and geographical segments and in line with the Transtar Sales Strategy.

   

As a direct result of our continued success there is an opening for an energetic Sales Manager. Your role will see you:

• Actively pursue growth opportunities, by developing new customers and maintaining good relationships with existing customers

• Delivering agreed revenue and sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis

• Driving new business growth across all facets of the business in line with sales targets/budgets

• Achieving a balanced portfolio of business that maximises operational efficiency and reduces risk

• Preparing customer quotations, sales plans and reports

• Conducting customer presentations and detailed sales/project and tender proposals

• Developing a full knowledge of the competitive environment

• Gaining a full understanding of our corporate culture, operational model and service capabilities

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated individual with strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills. As well as this you will also possess the following attributes and skills;

1.  2-3 years experience in either sales or freight forwarding
2. Tertiary qualifications in Business/Marketing (or similar) preferred
3. Professional presentation, written and verbal communications skills
4. Strength in negotiation and problem solving and ability to interact with decision     makers at all levels  
5. Computer proficiency in MS Office and management systems  
6. A genuine sales drive and desire to learn and succeed
