Responsibilities

  • Development and maintenance of customer relationship
  • Development & implementation of mid- and long-term sales activities
  • Identification and realisation of business opportunities and potential customers
  • Market intelligence, active revenue and market development

 

Tasks
  
Within the operational targets set by the Country Sales Manager (FS/A) and Regional Sales Steering (FG/S), Business Development Executive performs the following duties:

Individual Duties

  1. Development and maintenance of customer relationship
    • Relationship development and management with direct customers, agent and partners according to selling strategies and customer segmentation
    • Follow-up of customer requests and provide professional advice and customized logistics solutions in a timely manner
    • Regular discussion with customers about service aspects for improvement, such as performance, payment morale, quality standards, etc
    • Regular use of customer database ‘easySales’, especially updating of core data, activities, and opportunities
  2. Sales activities
    • Conduct regular sales activities to agents and direct customers in a structured manner
    • Ongoing visit planning via easySales and regular review of conducted visits in team meetings, as well as reporting in easySales
    • Initialise and conclude contracts with existing customers and new opportunities
    • Closely co-operation with Customer Service Function (CSF) for flight planning and optimum utilisation of capacity
    • Special emphasis on selling express products
    • Strong focus on outside sales activities with the target of 80% share for external visits
  3. Identification and realisation of business opportunities and potential customers
    • Explore new business opportunities and new potential customers, follow-up, and reporting in team meetings
    • Implement and promote LCAG service portfolio and provide customer feedback to improve service quality and development of new products
    • Opportunity management through active usage of easySales
  4. Market intelligence
    • Gather market information through contacts to agents/customers
    • Update in easySales and proactive communication of market information in team meetings
    • Support intensive communication and co-ordination with CSF and Sales Steering Function (SSF)

 

Position requirements    

  • Bachelor degree desirable,  or equivalent relevant professional experience e.g. in air cargo sales, logistics or service industry, or any other sales experience
  • Very strong skills in communication and persuasiveness, able to handle and solve conflicting situations
  • Structured, self-driven, ambitious and target oriented working approach and strong coordination / organizational skills
  • Can moderate workshops and meetings, present to senior management and larger audiences
  • Good project management skills as well as practical experience in change management
  • Analytical skills, can work with and interpret numbers and data
  • Knowledge in common IT systems and platforms, i.e. MS Office, etc and willingness to further learn more IT skills under own initiative
  • Fluent Cantonese and English language skills require, native German speaker desirable
  • High intercultural awareness and EQ required, able to act and cooperate in an international environment
  • EU if requested
