Our client is a leading manufacturer of electrical components for the household electronics sector.  With multiple manufacturing sites, and a global client base comprising of leading MNC’s (Phillips, Delonghi, etc.), they are poised for continued growth within their market.  As a result of their success, they are looking to hire two Manufacturing Production Engineers to join their team, and work on streamlining and improving their manufacturing processes.

SUMMARY OF POSITION:

This candidate will be developing manufacturing processes for new products and manufacturing improvements to existing products. We will be a main support to the manufacturing group for troubleshooting, continuous improvement and waste reduction efforts.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assisting as a project manager to coordinate the manufacturing activities associated with new products
• Implementing work cell development
• Facilitate continuous process improvements
• Root cause analysis to improve quality
• Maintain documentation on processes and procedures and be able to communicate them effective to operators and supervisors
• Facilitate engineering changes
• Maintain quality expectations for customers
• Assist with troubleshooting on new products as well as current products
• Writing operator instructions

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering
• 3 years or above work experience in a manufacturing engineering role
• Excellent computer skills, especially proficient in Excel and spreadsheets and Power Point
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Understanding of robotics, PLC/HMI programming, and basic fixture design
