Job Description

The Solutions Consultant team should partner effectively with sales in account development and playing an active business and technical lead role in the sales process for all customer engagements and deals for the respective market segment.

Your Responsibilities

  • Perform presentations and workshops on data visualisation and advanced analytis within the prospect/customer environment
  • Be an evangelist in the execution of the Seeing is Believing (SiB) event for all new customers and act as a product evangelist on all deals
  • Analyze customer requirements and develop robust commercial proposals of the technical solution
  • Oversee, lead and manage all prospective client engagements and projects from a technical standpoint
  • Understand our customers’ pains and translate those into viable solutions for the business maximizing potential to sell
  • Prepare RFPs, RFIs and all other business and technical enquiries
  • Liaise and partner very closely with the sales organization to support deal success within the market segment
  • Maintain a solid technical understanding of the Qlik in conjunction with business benefits and unique business proposition
  • Be responsible for the quality and success of technical presales activity within the customer environment
  • Manage the balance between customer expectations and delivering projects while being responsive to Velocity needs
  • Manage and own all technical issues that may arise during the buying cycle
  • Convey key differences/USPs of Qlik versus the competitive landscape and other respective offerings
  • Assist sales teams in building a compelling business case and ROI for the prospect/customer
  • Act as an internal advocate for the customer/prospect
  • Educate Sales teams on existing and new offerings and focus on quality and success of technical presales processes and methodologies.
  • Track, maintain and report presales metrics in accordance with company policy
  • Participate in the internal knowledge transfer across the broader Velocity business.
  • Develop strong relationships internally across sales teams and other functions to support success on driving/closing deals.
  • Participate in seminars, trade shows and other marketing programmes in order to promote Qlik awareness among partner/customer communities.

Your Qualifications and Experience

  • A Degree from a leading university is preferred
  • Qlik certifications are preferred but not essential
  • Excellent English and Cantonese. (Mandarin useful)
  • Hong Kong Permanent Resident or valid work permit for Hong Kong
  • Strong presales experience (5 up top 10 years) in Software ideally BI environment
  • Knowledge of a vertical (Retail, Finance, Logistics) is preferred
