Reporting to the Asian Region Chief Executive Officer and functionally to the Chief Financial Officer in Australia the position will assist Greater Group Asia including the businesses conducted in Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong achieves its business objectives & to:

• Assist the Chief Financial Officer in the central accounting office discharge his duties in regards to the financial management and statuary compliance of Greater Group Asia and its subsidiaries
• Support the Asian Region Chief Executive Officer in the financial and commercial aspects of the business
• Provide accurate and timely management accounting to assist with Profitable Growth objective of Greater Group Asia and its subsidiaries.
• Build partnerships with key stakeholders in greater group, particularly the operations personnel in Hong Kong / Shanghai and the GM of that region.
• Assist with & record process & systems improvement of the Accounting function in the region so that they adhere to the global process of Greater Group Global.
• Analysis of business performance including but not limited to monthly variance analysis to budget of sales, margin and cost of BU’s in greater group Asia.
• Assist with the preparation of Budget and Forecast financial performance of Greater Group Asia
• Review Project Accounting with respect to ensuring accuracy of profitability of projects in the ERP system for projects conducted in Greater Group Asia and its subsidiaries
• Preparation of monthly Work in Progress for active projects
• Ensure that direction is followed for tax & legal compliance of the Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong business operation
• Assist with preparation of financial reports for the GG Shanghai, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong that agree with the legal and taxation requirement of their jurisdiction.
• Work with BU managers to create the most efficient and effective reporting of financial information for Greater Group Asia.
• Preparation of accruals, prepayment analysis, and overhead analysis.
• Supervision of the preparation of data to be sent to the Central Accounting Office where the general accounting functions are performed
• Assistance with debtor collection.

Competencies / Key Selection Criteria 

Knowledge / Experience

• A minimum of 5 years accounting experience with either full or partial CA or CPA qualification;
• Experience working for a rapidly growing SME in a dynamic and commercial environment ideally in a project based business;
• Good understanding of Accounting, legal and tax compliance in the region of China, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.
• Some experience in process re-engineering and systems implementation;
• Understanding of and capability to conduct business analytics OR had experience that can be demonstrated in process re-engineering;

• Fluent in English speaking

• Ability to demonstrate analytical prowess & sound financial modelling;
• Can write up reports that show insight and interpret meaning for end uses;
