Responsibilities:

• Perform trade validation and reconciliation to ensure data accuracy and completeness
• Handle fund operations including transaction monitoring, settlements and funds transfer
• Assist with new Hedge Fund launches
• Liaise with portfolio managers/traders and counterparties to resolve day to day queries
• Handle client’s enquiries and execute client instructions in relation to trading, corporate activities, settlement and operational enquiries
• Prepare regular risk and management reports
• Handle payments and other ad-hoc operational duties
• Ensure the operating procedures are adhered to regulatory and company requirements
• Work closely with the team to identify, analyze and report the portfolio risk management issues
• Liaise with fund administrator, custodians, auditor, valuer and other vendor for handling various fund operations tasks, including account opening and year-end audit
• Ensure compliance with SFO, AML procedures, FATCA and other regulations

 
Requirements:

• Degree holder with 1-3 years’ work experience with operations, client services or fund accounting within a Financial Institution, asset manager or hedge fund
• Knowledge of financial products and asset management industry are highly desired
• Excellent communication skills in English and Chinese (Cantonese & Putonghua)
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and VBA
• Current SFC type 4, 9 license holder will be advantageous
• Degree holder in Business Administration and Finance is preferred
• Good interpersonal, problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience in using Bloomberg is preferred
• Pro-active keen to learn and willing to take responsibility
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver work under tight deadlines
• Candidate with less experience but has high potential will also be considered
