SUMMARY

The Business Systems Analyst (BSA) is responsible for administering the implementation of and maintaining and further developing our new Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Dynamics AX. You will work closely with our external consulting firm and our internal key business owners in the overall development and rollout of the latest release of Microsoft Dynamics AX. The primary focus area for this position is the Financial, Financial Accounting and Costing portion of Dynamics AX.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Financial BSA will partake in developing technology that will create efficiencies in key areas of our business and help identify integrated technology opportunities and solutions for resolving complex business problems. You will create, review and follow through on system development to make sure all projects fit the future goals and minimize customization for ongoing maintenance of systems. Our goal is to not customize our new system but if needed, ensure all customizations are well documented and follow our change management processes as defined by our corporate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

The Financial BSA learns the business and processes to recommend and help implement further development of system and writes and modifies complex reports, dashboards and form customizations, including maintaining tables, data cubes, view and queries, etc. in Application Object Tree (AOT). These reports will likely be maintained in SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).

You will help resolve user issues, assists in maintaining user roles and functionality and understands and utilizes best practices in relational database management. You will coordinate and document all changes to base ERP (Microsoft Dynamics AX) and creates comprehensive technical system documentation and provide training to staff. You will assist in providing reports to management and maintenance of Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and other key reporting needs.

You will work closely with our Finance and Cost Accounting Departments in establishing internal controls and procedures and source documents for managing their processes. You will recommend or develop cost efficiencies through our new software, and identify and recommend improvements or alternatives to the existing processes.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 R3 or newer with emphasis on finance and accounting modules. 
• Familiarity with Microsoft tools including Office 365, SharePoint, Power BI and Life Cycle Services as well as the Microsoft Azure Cloud environment.
• Excellent analytical skills in trouble shooting, problem solving, data extraction & analysis, & IT system comprehension; and should have excellent communication skills (able to explain business requirements to technical staff and technical solutions to non-technical business managers / staff).
• Ability to write / review / maintain documentation describing all elements of software & applications (including standards, functionality, logic, business processes, schematics, deployment & implementation procedures, work instructions, detailed technical tasks, requirements, and time estimates, & test plans).
• Higher Diploma or above in computer science, business or related field preferred.
• Experience on one or more Dynamics AX implementations and experience with an ERP system, preferably in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent combination of education or relevant work experience required.
• 2+ years of Dynamics AX 2012 R3 functional and technical experience and 2+ years of experience developing Microsoft .NET platform or similar software and/or related business systems analysis preferred.
• Microsoft Visual Studio with C+ and/or C++ experience a plus.
• Proficiency in both English and Chinese (Mandarin)
• Occasional travel is required
