Responsibilities

• Work closely with core team in Sydney to implement and design the frontend of a super high traffic web application
• Co-ordinate with backend developers to link up the backend and frontend
• Optimise the frontend technology to make sure the site speed and user experience is the world class
• Co-operate with PM, lead developer and QA to provide solutions for business needs
• Write quality code with unit testing
• Perform A/B testing if needed to optimise the best user experience
• Be innovative and give ideas to growth hack the business metrics

General Requirements

• Degree / Higher Diploma in Computer Science / Multimedia or related disciplines
• Must come from a development background with strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Previous experience working for a high traffic, high profile website preferred
• Strong Agile mindset and a positive attitude
• Great communicator
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Working Proficiency in English as there will be meetings with other teams in overseas
• Travel maybe required

Technical Skills

• Good knowledge in CSS3 / SASS and responsive website design
• Solid foundation in javascript and cross-browser compatibility
• HTML5 and SEO best practices
• Knowledge in common frontend framework such as React / AngularJs
• JavaScript unit testing with Jasmine, Karma or Mocha
• Version control with git
• knowledge in server side rendering, java and jsp would be a plus
• Experience with and/or exposure to NodeJS
• Experience with and/or exposure to build tools, such as Grunt, Webpack, Gulp, etc
