Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, plan and implement the theme of South-South Cooperation (SSC) in the context of Sustainable Development Goal, Government Aid; Climate Finance; Development Finance (development banks), Overseas Foreign Direct Investment, etc.
  • Develop and implement engagement strategy and specific deliverables in the Operational Plan on urban poverty and inequality, particular collaborators within the confederation are prioritized with Oxfam Brazil, Oxfam South Africa and other southern affiliates
  • Work closely with China Team in Beijing in an integrated manner to ensure objectives of all related themes are met
  • Handle grants making and management of specific themes in collaboration with Oxfam International (OI) and southern affiliate under SSC
  • Commission action research in collaboration with global, regional and country level of OI regarding all related themes
  • Develop and implement monitoring, evaluation and learning plan on SSC related themes internally
  • Build extensive and coherent network with relevant stakeholders – think-tanks, universities and institutes, United Nation and other global and regional multi-lateral organizations, etc.


Requirements:

  • Degree holder with at least 8 years working experience, similar experience in NGOs, research institutes, grants making experience, knowledge of international development is desirable
  • Practical skills of commissioning research
  • Good interpersonal communications, presentation skills and negotiation skills with funding partners
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Proficient in computer applications including MS Office
  • Frequent travel is required
  • Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision
