Responsibilities:

• Review country submissions and ensure timely delivery of country financial reports
• Perform financial close and regional consolidation
• Prepare and coordinate group financial reporting, statutory reporting and board reporting on monthly, quarterly and annual basis; Liaise with various stakeholders on reporting requirements and resolution of accounting and reporting matters.
• Monitor and implement group accounting policies across the region
• Provide accounting opinion for special transactions, including M&A and business initiatives

Requirements:

• At least 7 years experience in an insurance accounting role
• Relevant degree
• Professional accounting qualification
• At least 3 years of Big 4 audit experience
• Strong skills in spreadsheets, data analysis and reconciliation procedures
• Demonstrated ability to provide support across senior management structures within portfolio and to direct reports
• Excellent communications and influencing skills
• Broad knowledge of organisational accounting procedures
• Thorough understanding of best practice accounting
• Working knowledge of IFRS and consolidation
