RESPONSIBILITIES

• Draft and review various legal documents and correspondences with suppliers, distributors, service providers, contractors and other business counterparts to identify all key risks, onerous terms and conditions, and recommend appropriate risk treatment
• Provide legal and commercial advice to business and operational units (covering corporate, commercial, and litigation matters) within the Group
• Assess the risk on various projects and potential transactions, and provide accurate legal advice to business and operational units
• Monitor development in laws, regulations and on-going compliance issues that will impact the business, and prepare reports on relevant matters to management
• Liaise with external advisors / lawyers and various legal regulatory bodies (when required) and need to manage a team of in house lawyers / perelegals

REQUIREMENTS

• A Degree in Law
• Qualified lawyer with 8+ years post-qualification experience in legislations and legal principles (preferably in-house experience in food manufacturing or FMCG company)
• Admission to practice law in HK or PRC
• Good command of spoken and written Chinese and English
• Independent, well organized with attention to details, proactive with strong sense of responsibility
• Good team player and strong interpersonal skills
• Good command in MS Office & Chinese Word processing
• Candidates with less than 8 years post-qualification will be considered for the position of Legal Manager/ Senior Legal Manager
