Job Description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for achieving sales objectives within the assigned channels.  The incumbent is accountable for leading the on trade sales team to plan, implement and co-ordinate all sales strategies and programs in order to achieve sales target and business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities and Job-Related Characteristics:

  • Responsible for achieving sales targets, sales forecasts, distribution target and merchandising/visibility objectives in the designated channels.
  • Lead the channel team to maintain a high level of motivation and feedback, provide guidance and training for development needs, in order to achieve company objectives.
  • Work with Sales Director and Marketing team to recommend annual sales and promotion plans for individual channel.
  • Work with Trade Marketing Department to implement promotion activities and provide constructive feedback on promotion effectiveness and make recommendations where necessary.
  • Monitor the performance of promoter company and its promoters.
  • Analyse market intelligence and report on competitors’ activities.
  • Prepares sales forecasts, weekly and monthly sales reports.
  • Key account management role with TOT, karaoke chain and wholesalers.
  • Develop and maintain good rapport with key customers in order to improve sales.
  • Carry out sales administrative role, prepare sales orders, promotion approval, product pricing form, credit application form for the respective customers to the required standard.
  • Carefully control and manage product pricing and the provision of free goods.
  • Actively seek new business opportunities to increase profits and channel penetration of PR products.
  • Review closely with staff on their customers’ credit status, alert underlying credit risks and possible resolutions as appropriate.
  • Ensure payment collection is in line with channel and company objectives.
  • Oversee performance of its team-members, provide guidance and training for development needs. Staffing responsibility where required.

 

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Degree holder with formal business qualifications
  • Sales management experience
  • Capacity to work with multiple channels
  • High attention to details
  • Extremely good interpersonal skills; relationship building; networking
  • High competency in spoken and written English; knowledge of local Asian language and advantage
  • Good presentation, communication and negotiation skills
  • Energetic, and proactive individual with good organizational and time management skills
  • Interest in wine & spirits
  • Computer literate
