Job Description

Job Purpose  

Providing analysis and advice on all C&B related matters for GTS APAC, managing C&B related projects and supporting the Global Compensation and Benefits function to ensure the development and implementation of a reward strategy and resulting policies that assist in the achievement of the organisation’s strategic business objectives. Maintaining Sales Incentive processes for the Global Sales function, Regional and C&B processes for bonus plans, benefits and salary review.

 

This role independently oversees pay and benefit infrastructure for APAC, covering medium-term strategy as well as technical operational solutions. The role holder is expected to be familiar with APAC market conditions/ legislative environments and will interface frequently with senior management.

 Key activities

  • Managing the delivery and pay out of a variety of sales incentive programs globally and bonus programmes for GTS across APAC. Involved in coordinating incentive and bonus plan amendments which includes liaising with Senior Management and Finance for feedback and approval.
  • Integral role to play in the Merit Review process which includes:
  • Extensive market analysis for inflation, RPI and Mercer Market data manipulation
  • Global budgeting costing scenarios for Finance
  • Workday testing, creation of training material and delivery to HR and managerial customers
  • Deep analysis to shape pay ranges across APAC.
  • Creation and shaping merit matrices across APAC so that managers can allocate an optimal increase in line with individual performance level
  • Second level support and problem solving for issues during the merit allocation window for managers and HRBPs
  • Managing job evaluation of new and existing roles  and salary recommendations across APAC using Hercules and Mercer evaluation tools and salary data. Justifies decision making to HR Manager/Business Partners e.g. A full departmental reorganisation may facilitate the need to re-evaluate roles will need careful consideration in terms of balancing fairness and potentially uplifting salaries to the business.
  • Managing the overall pension relationship between all parties, the auto enrolment process, pension governance biannual meetings, fulfilling any statutory obligations and resolving any membership queries
  • Analysis and delivery of payout for the Global Sales Incentive Plans and Regional Bonus Plans which involves budgeting payout scenarios and extensive use of Workday information e.g. pro rating for transfers between bonus programmes, maternity, grade changes
  • Manages APAC benefits and obtains best renewal terms and rates for the employer via the providers and brokers. This includes Private Medical & Hospitalization Insurance, Life Assurance etc
  • Management of C&B relationship within APAC  by supporting the APAC HR Team  e.g. relocation of employees, advice with renewal of benefits programmes, job evaluation, SIP, Bonus and general C&B queries that arise as and when
  • C&B Project Management as required
  • Excel mentor to the HR Function

 Knowledge, Skills, Experience, Qualifications 

  • 5 years minimum of working experience
  • Advanced excel experience required at a senior C&B analytical level for numerous exercises e.g. being able to show global costs in a single currency using vlookups, creating and maintaining complex IF statements, pivot tables and macros for SIP payout sheets
  • Strong experience and skills in job evaluation and making pay recommendations based on interpreting global market and internal data and applying it to individual benchmarking issues that arise
  • Considerable front and back end Workday experience e.g. running complex reports, merit review processes and benefits renewal processes experience
  • Keen eye for detail e.g. to ensure payouts for the various bonus schemes and salary review are correctly applied by interpreting information from Workday and recognising any Workday data that requires updating, able to explain and justify C&B information to the Global Audit team
  • Qualified in Mercer job evaluation tool and user experience of Mercer WIN to derive global pay and benefits information.
  • Considerable experience of using another internal company based evaluation system
  • Considerable experience in high level C&B related project delivery from inception to completion
  • Knowledge of Asia legislative changes relevant to C&B
  • Work as a team player within C&B to work on complex issues such as the salary review process within Workday
