Excellent opportunity for an experienced Application Support specialist to work with a global financial services organisation.

A tier one investment bank is looking for a seasoned algo trading support specialist to take on 1^st and 2^nd line support within their equities business. This is an excellent opportunity to work with cutting edge, best of breed technology in the electronic trading space. 

Responsibilities of the role:

• Provide 1^st and 2^nd line technical support for the algo trading platform including the DMA / DSA, SOR, crossing engines and dark pool technology
• Working closely with the development team to resolve issues and build enhancements to reduce bugs and improve client experience
• Working closely with the business to understand the use of algos and analytics
• Proactive & reactive real-time monitoring of processes, connections & trade flows
• Working as a global team by following the sun support, standardising documentation / tools and knowledge sharing.

Requirements of the role:                                                                                                                                    

• At least 3 years’ experience in a front line, Electronic Trading support position with an investment bank, ideally in Hong Kong
• At least 6 years’ experience in application support with more recent exposure to DevOps / Agile environment
• Solid understanding of electronic trading including knowledge of algos, how they are implemented and supported in the production environment
• Experience working closely with the front office in a real time, high availability, high frequency trading technology environment
• Strong knowledge of FIX Protocol
• Experience with Unix, Perl, Shel and Python scripting
• Impeccable English language skills are mandatory for this role
