Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for monthly payroll administration including Hong Kong and other Asian countries and direct management over outsourced payroll vendors across the region (including but not limited to income tax withholding, compliance over statutory filing, etc).
  • Review and ensure timeliness and accuracy of payroll related transactions
  • Be the main contact person to mediate payroll issues for the region
  • Manage the payroll team over preparation of month-end reports for the Finance department, monthly payroll journal records, purchase order, verify vendor invoice and arrange payments, payroll accounts reconciliation, etc
  • Liaison with auditors (both internal and external) over for annual audit for payroll, MPF/ORSO, etc.
  • Drive the implementation new payroll system
  • Lead retirement fund issues and work with the ORSO/MPF administrators
  • Assist the team in establishing robust payroll control mechanisms to achieve high standard compliance
  • Perform other ad hoc projects

Requirements:

  • University graduate with 8 years of related experience, preferably with multinational companies
  • Well-versed in Hong Kong employment related ordinances and regulations
  • Familiar with Asian countries local tax regulations and pension regulations will be a PLUS
  • Hands-on experience in payroll systems
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Good command of written and spoken English and Chinese
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to build and maintain collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and partners
  • Able to work independently and under pressure
  • Mature, positive work attitude, detail-oriented, with can do spirit and positive mindset and a good team player with strong sense of responsibility
