Summary of role

This position is ideal for a professional candidate who would like to further their skills in event management.  Responsible for the day to day operations management of all Asia Pacific Haymarket events including tasks such as:

• Venue and supplier selection and management
• Contract terms negotiation
• Catering, AV and production management.
•  Creation of full event scheduling and timed format for events with hotel and suppliers with detailed rundown instructions
• Management of event registration for audiences between 80 - 300
• Coordinate and manage deadlines and timelines across the wider conference and event teams
• Onsite event management – responsible for set up and delivery
• Speaker Management – Assist producers as necessary including collection of presentations, bios and photos and booking accommodation and flights
• Sponsorship Management – Keeping sponsors informed of all logistical information, setting deadlines to submit marketing materials and following up with these. Assisting with any general enquiries
• Management and updating of event budgets
• Ensure smooth running of events and be creative and innovative
• Provide any other assistance necessary to ensure the success of logistic and operation strategies

Requirements

The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, skilled and motivated. You will also be:

• Highly organised and able to demonstrate excellent time management
• At least three years operational experience in the  events industry
• Willingness to learn, flexible and adaptable
• Negotiation skills
• Confident and well spoken
• Self motivated and a team player
• Multi language skills  (Cantonese, Putonghua, Japanese or Korean) an advantage Although not essential

This position is based in Hong Kong. We offer attractive remuneration package and excellent career opportunities may be available to the right candidate although this is initially a fixed term contract.
