Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver overall advocacy/campaign strategies focusing on the poverty impacts of China’s overseas investment, trade, aid and finance on other developing countries, and conduct research on related issues
• Build and maintain relationship with partners and stakeholders including government departments, enterprises, researchers and civil society organizations
• Support partners for the delivery of advocacy/campaign work
• Handle any other duties as and when required

Requirements: 

• Degree in Development Studies or equivalent with at least 5 years’ work experience in civil society organizations both locally and internationally
• Sound knowledge in issues relating to China’s global influence, and civil society in China
• Experience in handling programmes in other developing countries like Africa and Mekong.  Prior experience in agriculture is an advantage
• Good analytical, project management, communication and presentation skills and be able to meet with tight deadline
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese including Putonghua
• Proficient in computer applications including MS Office and Chinese word processing
• Willing to travel
• Identification with Oxfam’s mission and vision is highly desirable

Candidates with less experience may be considered for the post of Assistant Campaign Officer
