Report to: Regional Product Manager, Asia Pacific
Job Description:
- To establish and implement pricing policies for the Region Asia trades and to carry out day to day rate monitoring in order to ensure that pricing decisions are in line with business plan objectives and the overall purpose (mentioned above).
- To develop and establish commercial business plan (including commercial targets) in coordination with Area / Branch Offices and 3rd party agents to ensure that the agreed targets (volume, revenue and contribution margin) are achieved.
- Monitor Sales Marketing efforts for both Hamburg Sud offices and 3rd party agents.
- To represent Hamburg Sud in conference and discussion agreements and to ensure that decisions taken are in the best interest of Hamburg Sud.
- In coordination with Area offices and 3rd party agents, to develop and participate in Key Account Management programs.
- Negotiation of commercial service contract as required.
Qualifications:
- General good knowledge about the shipping industry and the basic parameters that influence the freight market.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills in English, Mandarin and Cantonese a bonus.
- Result oriented and decisive.
- Good basic knowledge of MS office applications.
- Ability to quickly adapt to changing market and working environment.
- Degree holder with at least 3 years of experience in the shipping industry.
- Fluent in English, both written and spoken
