The Laundry Manager is responsible for leading the department to successfully deliver laundry services throughout the property. Laundry Services will be mostly for hotel guests (valet), hotel and F & B linen as well as all the Uniforms.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take the lead and provide direction in the delivery of quality laundry services to the hotel guests. Continuously focus on maximum efficiency on the manpower planning, chemical supplies and energy.
• Align the Department to perform in harmony and active collaboration to achieve operational efficiency and high guest satisfaction.
• Develop appropriate procedures and programs for effective management of the Laundry Operation. Establish and implement Service Quality Standards at all guest touch points.
• As a member of the Housekeeping Management Team, provide active partnering and feedback to the top line management on issues relating to all aspects of the Laundry Operation.
• Continuously monitor actual cost versus budget and ensure that laundry operation operates within industry benchmark cost factors.
• Maintain and cultivate a harmonious working environment by providing employee counseling channels for conflict resolution and develop mutual trust amongst all team members.
• Identify and actively mentor team members for succession planning and career management.

• College degree or minimum 5 years previous experience as Laundry Manager of large scale facility
• 5-7 years’ experience in large scale laundry operation
• Established leader able to motivate across all levels of the department
• A hands-on leader
• Maintains the highest quality standards & expectations in the hotel’s hardware and service delivery.
• Adopts and implements new approaches and practices to meet changing circumstances
• Achieves agreed objectives and accepts accountability for results
• Has proven employee and customer orientation
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English is a must.
