Major Responsibilities: 

• Research on cross countries standardization methods for macroeconomic data
• Develop methodologies for proprietary economic data
• Compile and maintain standardized time series based on in-house methodologies and standards
• Maintain and enhance quality as well as coverage of our in-house research database
• Implement and adhere to in-house pre-set measures of quality assurance and quality control
• Prepare short write-up and graphics to highlight data insights and for product promotion
• Attend to clients’ queries on our database service

Training and Experience: 

• Degree in Economics, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related
• 1-2 year working experience in financial/economic research or related fields
• Prior experience with maintenance of a time-series database
• Has experience in conducting independent economic research and analytical work related to macroeconomic 

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: 

• High degree of analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as demonstrated experience with statistical analysis and the ability to work independently
• Numerate and rigorous attention to details
• Capacity to handle multitasking on a daily basis
• Proficiency in MS Excel; Knowledge of VBA programming is a plus
• Excellent written and oral communication in English
• Previous experience with same industry would be definitely advantage
