The “Finance Manager / Senior Accountant” is responsible for facilitating and ensuring budgetary control, making recommendations to encourage the continuous improvement of financial performance and implementing relevant policies within the business; Assisting the organization in optimizing and integrating the key finance processes to improve efficiencies and maximize profit;

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The duties and responsibilities of the “Finance Manager / Senior Accountant” include but are not limited to:

1. Responsible for the preparation of monthly management reports, quarterly financial forecasts and annual statutory financial reports in line with relevant policies and procedures;
2. Support strategic initiatives and current developments with planning, budgets and strategies;
3. Efficient management of working capital;
4. Oversee all tax and regulatory compliance issues;
5. Implement and maintain all financial controls and systems within the business, identifying and recommending potential operational inefficiencies and improvements to working practices and procedures;
6. Collaborate and coordinate with diverse teams (marketing, sales, customer service etc.);
7. Build and maintain profitable partnerships with key stakeholders;
8. Assist in setting financial targets and budget development and monitoring;
9. Assist, implement and monitor the company strategies, recommending policy standards and procedures, to ensure that department objectives are achieved in compliance with all relevant internal regulations and policies;
10. Ensure that all company related invoices are reviewed, audited and approved to determine if charges are reasonable and appropriate to the service performed;
11. Contact vendors in case of inappropriate or incorrect charges in order to correct the situation, agree a fair charge and proceed to invoice reconciliation;

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

1. More than 5 years’ experience in auditing and/or relevant financial or management accounting, preferably in aviation industry;
2. Degree holder of accounting disciplines with professional accounting qualification; MSc/MA is a plus;
3. Proven experience as “Senior accountant” or other relevant role;
4. Solid knowledge of performance reporting and financial/budgeting processes;
5. Excellent organisational and leadership skills;
6. Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities;
7. Prior work experience in a fast-paced, complex and high visibility organization;
8. Dynamic and highly energetic executive with proven initiative and track record in providing effective financial leadership and direction;
9. Ability to work in a high performing culture with strong problem solving skills;
10. Ability to be a self-starter requiring a minimum amount of supervision;
11. Ability to prioritize and manage different projects;  
12. Possess utmost integrity and discretion and be highly regarded to be able to keep confidences and earn the trust and respect of team members and supervisor;
13. Exceptional attention to detail with demonstrated excellent judgment, professionalism and integrity;
14. Excellent communicator in English, Chinese and Putonghua with all levels of management;
15. Proficient in Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) applications.
