Job Description
The museum is currently searching for a talented and passionate professional to join its small and energetic team.
In this role, you will:
- conduct research for exhibitions and collections,
- support Museum operations, including implementation of museum programs, exhibitions and educational services, and
- provide ad-hoc support to Simon Suen Foundation, of which the Museum is a part.
An ideal candidate must be:
- passionate about museum operations and making it a career,
- interested in Chinese arts and culture as well as non-profit work,
- flexible, mature, and self-motivated to work independently in a small team, and
- willing to work on weekends and public holidays.
To be considered, you must possess:
- a bachelor degree from a university in Hong Kong, or equivalent, majoring in history of Chinese art, art education, fine arts, museum studies or humanities,
- work experience in arts management and/or research,
- good knowledge of Chinese history and literature, and
- excellent communication skills in both Chinese and English.
