My client, a leading Global Bank are looking to hire a DB2/Sybase Database Administrator DBA to join their expanding team based here in Hong Kong. This will be a fast hire and will be stepping stone into Banking for any aspiring and determined Database Administrator.  

Responsibilities:

• Work within the global distributed DBA team that provides 24x7 firm-wide level 3 support for distributed databases.
• All aspects of database administration, including performance and tuning, regular maintenance and the creation of specialized jobs.
• Be eager to build on your existing knowledge via formal on-the-job training.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience supporting multi-server enterprise environments.
• Strong database administration knowledge in Sybase or DB2.
• Strong SQL language knowledge
• Must be able to work with command line tools as well as GUI tools.
• Previous level 3 support experience
• Familiarity of UNIX or Linux environment.
• Experience in Perl/Shell coding development is a plus.
• Fluent in English speaking is a must.
