Job Description

This is a great opportunity for the right individual to work with a leading agency within the world’s leading communication Group.  This position is based in Hong Kong, working on one of the world’s leading blue chip consumer brands. This is a fully integrated service agency which handles all the client’s communication needs from TV advertising, to digital to shopper, and across all markets in Asia.

The Regional Account Director reports to the Associate Client Service Director and serves as the agency leader for achieving the client’s strategic brand objectives in relation to designated brands. They collaborate closely with the clients and other agency team leaders, cultivating strong relationships. They lead their team to ensure smooth implementation and day-to-day management across all facets of their brands.

 

Roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Have excellent knowledge of the clients’ business across the region, especially assigned brands and relevant market. Capitalise on additional revenue generating opportunities for Red Fuse. Clear understanding of consumers and needs across Asia markets.
  • Supervises planning and direction on assigned brands, providing clear strategic direction to creative team.
  • Evaluates creative work against strategic direction and provides constructive feedback, maintains an active contribution throughout the creative development process.
  • Taking ownership of IMC process and guide team and facilitate internal working process ensuring collaboration between departments to produce integrated work that meet client and brand objectives.
  • Ability to effectively prioritise workload for the agency and exercise time management skills.
  • Be fiscally responsible by remaining aware of the scope/budget associated with each project include review and sign-off of monthly billing and forecasting, client management or escalation of billing as needed.
  • Maintains strong relationships with clients, seeking out their ideas, and increasing their confidence in the teams’ ability to manage the brand and the work.
  • Foster a culture of growth and development of the Account Management team. Lead and participate in the Agency’s Performance Management Process, including self-evaluation, establish goal setting. Provide on-going feedback to team members support recognition and improvements for further growth and development across disciplines.
  • Motivate and coach a Regional Account Executive to develop respective skills and provide better service to the client. Establish goal setting and provide on-going feedback to support recognition and improvements as it relates to employee development.
  • Take an active interest in the Agency’s business and performance expanding the its portfolio; building relationships across the client’s organisation and with key industry partners.
  • Demonstrate initiative in all areas of improving internal communications and management and growth of all partnerships.
  • Occasional travel is required usually for client visits, planning and brief taking.

 

Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor or graduate’s degree with a minimum of 6+ of experience in agency or related industry. FMCG experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate a proven track record of outstanding Client service and relationship building.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills that demonstrate influence and diplomacy; strategic thinking and advertising/promotional acumen.
  • Managerial experience of multichannel marketing with track record of facilitating and coordinating integrated marketing campaigns at a regional level.
  • Strong understanding of cross discipline principles, including:
    • Marketing communication media (broadcast, digital, retail, mobile, print, etc.)
    • Digital marketing practices (search, display, e-commerce, digital etc.)
  • Ability to craft briefs, evaluate and provide clear persuasive briefings to creative teams
  • Proven approach to cross functional, cross agency and partnership collaboration
  • Excellent leadership, management and team building skills, ability to energise and inspire
  • Fluent verbal and written English essential; other Asian languages desirable
