Our client is an international holding company that operates cruise and resort businesses in Asia Pacific. They are now seeking Director of Procurement to cope with their group’s expansion. 

Responsibilities:

• To lead a team and maintaining the procurement management operating system of central purchasing for Asia Pacific region
• To set procurement goals, tracking KPIs and developing innovative & ongoing cost reduction strategies and ensuring compliance to company policy & procedures
• To manage commercial terms and sourcing process with suppliers which are located in Greater China provide full spectrum of sourcing and supply chain function for the company
• To conduct site visits with users to evaluate suppliers credibility standing, hygiene and product recommendation
• To general market research in various categories as well as research into potential suppliers, product specifications and resources
• To negotiate pricing and contract terms which can benefits for the company as well as enhance long term relations / development with partners
• To plans, directs and coordinates work activates and resources necessary for sourcing products globally in accordance with cost, quality and quantity specifications

Requirements:

• Bachelor Degree Holder in Procurement, Purchasing, B.A., or equivalent
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in strategic sourcing in Food and Non-Food items.
• Experience in hotel, resort and cruise purchasing is highly prefer but not a must
• Contacts and Vendors suppliers list from Greater China will be a plus
• Ability to work cross-functionally within the group as well as globally with suppliers
• Candidates from Global MNC environment is highly prefer
• High proficiency in MS office in operating software plus , Candidate with SAP system knowledge will be a plus; Experience is system upgrading / Ariba will be a super plus
• Solid experience in people management (prefer handle a team over 10+ direct subordinates)  influencing charisma; proactive person / result orientated problem solving mind-set + mature thinking     
• Good command in written and spoken English, Cantonese is important
