One of our clients, a major bank is currently seeking an IT professional to join their elite team.

Job responsibilities:

• Lead an application team for the development and support of the Digital platform and Mobile application
• Provide strategic advice and consultancy service to business and IT management to enable business growth and delivery of excellent IT service
• Partner with business to deliver the digital strategy and innovation initiative across the bank
• Accountable to end to end application scoping, planning, development, implementation and post-implementation support
• Prioritize and manage development and implementation of enhancements/changes; oversee testing processes and acceptance signoff
• Manage issue resolution process for any application related problems
• Build strong relationship with internal users and external services vendors to ensure superior service level can be achieved for responsible applications
• Plan IT budget for application related activities and seek ways to reduce application related costs
• Contribute to the development, implementation and oversight of policy and governance frameworks, procedures and standards to ensure effective risk management, quality control and compliance are in place
• Coach application development managers and officers on their job related responsibilities; conduct performance reviews, appraisals and personal development planning

Requirements:

• University degree in computer science or a related discipline
• Minimum 12 years of experience in the online banking and mobile services at a sizable organization.
• Knowledge of banking or investment product an added advantage
• At least 8 years’ experience in leading an application team
• Solid experience working on Java/J2EE applications/App Server environment
• In-depth understanding on software development and Agile / DevOps development methodologies
• Strong communication, analytical, problem solving skills, people management and project management skills
• Ability to work under high pressure and commit to deadline and quality
• Good command of spoken and written English and Chinese
