On behalf of clients, we are seeking high calibre candidates for the following:

Positions:   Assistant Manager/ Senor Business Analyst/Business Analyst (Life Insurance, Pensions) - 4 posts

Positions offered would be depending on the qualifications and experience of the candidates.   

RESPONSIBILITIES:  

To execute any of the following job functions    

a.  Senior Business Analyst (Pensions) 

  • Recommending both short term and long term solutions to users when production issues arise
  • Collect and analyze and document business requirement and communicating with IT or vendor for system enhancement
  • Planning large scale system projects and monitoring project progress
  • Prepare test plan, test script and coordinating with users or IT to perform testing to ensure system deliverables are in good quality
  • Coordinate the rollout of system with user and IT people
  • Providing system training to users

b.  Distribution Compensation (Project) (Assistant Manager) 

  • Liaise with both internal and external IT professionals for project implementation
  • Gather business requirements from users to improve operation efficiency and define user requirements for IT
  • Develop test cases and perform User Acceptance Test for system enhancement
  • Enhance existing system to support new product implementation
  • Provide training and documentation to users for system enhancement 

c.  Senior Business Analyst (1 year Contract)

  • Managing business specifications process to ensure that user requirements are properly specified
  • Assisting team leaders to maintain effective communication within the team to ensure the team can operate efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide technical support for conducting a board of mix analyses, which result in realizable improvements in customer experience, service quality, operational efficiency and business production
  • Prepare various business analysis, market intelligence and management reports
  • Recommend solutions by identifying costs and realistic benefits of different approaches to assist business determine best course of actions for improvement
  • Implement approved recommendations with business and IT and assist planning, guiding, organizing and monitoring implementation projects to effect changes for improvement and to obtain planned benefits
  • Ensure adequate controls in the re-engineered or improved processes to meet audit requirements and corporate governance.

d.  Junior Business Analyst (1 year contract)

(welcome Fresh graduate in actuarial, computer science, risk management)

  • Provide technical support for conducting a board of mix analyses, which includes customer portfolio, segmentation, predictive models and ad-hoc projects
  • Assist to prepare various business analysis, market intelligence and management reports
  • Collaborate with internal business users in identifying analyses needs, prepare user requirement and communicating the results and insight for continued improvement 

REQUIREMENTS    

1.  General Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in business, Degree in Business, Accounting, Mathematics, Business Statistics, Computer Science, Information System Management or any equivalent disciplines, with professional insurance qualification (e.g. FLMI/ICA/CFP/FLMI, IIQE Paper I, III and V )
  • Proficiency in MS office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access
  • Excellent analytical, communication & interpersonal skills  

2.  Experience Requirements

a.  for Senior Business Analyst (Pensions) requires 4 years working experience as a Business Analyst and with strong retirement operational background and is familiar with IT system development life cycle methodology (SDLC)

b.  for  Distribution Compensation (Project) (Assistant Manager)  requires minimum 4 - 5 years related experience in Distribution Compensation and project management

c.  for Senior Business Analyst requires understanding of insurance business operation, system and technology applications acquired through a minimum of 2 years experience in insurance industry, and experience with complex data from multiple source, database marketing and database management is essential 

d.  for Junior Business Analyst requires proficiency in using SQL, OLAP cubes, Access and VBA, other MS office applications, especially in Excel.
