The incumbent will be responsible for installing, configuring and supporting our company’s network hardware and software, as well as internet system. Reporting to Technical Services Manager and collaborate with other team members on any infrastructure related projects.

Responsibilities:

• Configure, and test computer hardware, networking software and operating system software
• Diagnose hardware and software problems, and replace defective components
• Operate master consoles to monitor the performance of computer and networks, and to coordinate computer network access and usage
• Monitor server & and/or network performance to determine whether adjustments need to be made
• Recommend changes to improve systems and network configurations, and determine hardware or software requirements related to such changes
• Perform routine server and/or network startup and shutdown procedures, and maintain control records
• Maintain and administer computer server & networks and related computing inventory and related configurations
• Plan, coordinate and implement network security measures to protect data, software and hardware
• Participate in annual company Disaster Recovery drills
• Perform specific task as instructed by his/her supervisor as and when needed

Requirements:

• Diploma holder in Computer Science, Information Technology or above
• At least 2 years working experience in server / network & system administration
• Experience MS Windows Servers 2008/2012, MS Active Directory, Windows Application, MS Exchange, MS SQL, MS IIS
• Experience in IBM AIX is much preferred
• Experience in Netbackup, Trend Micro AntiVirus/AntiSpam
• Experience in managing Firewall, Routers, Switches, wireless network, VPN a definite advantage
• Experience in SAP Basis is advantageous
• Knowledge in data recovery, system monitoring tools
• Independent, proactive, multi-tasking, hardworking and willing to work under pressure (with extended hours)
• Good communication skills in technical solutions to both technical and non-technical users
