The ideal candidate for this Senior DevOps Engineer / System Administrator position is someone with experience with modern configuration management tools (Chef, Puppet, Salt, Ansible), as well as experience in designing high-availability Unix and Linux systems administration in a production setting.   

Responsibilities:

• Design high-availability Unix and Linux systems administration in a production setting
• Design, create and maintain a fully automated Software Development Life Cycle with JIRA workflows integrated with Github and continuous build, test, deploy and destroy capabilities.
• Automate the configuration and deployment of our PaaS and IaaS infrastructure
• Create a ‘Single Pane of Glass’ to capture and display information provided by different components and present customised views to different user roles.
• Identify and log in JIRA: Epics, Stories and Tasks that pertain to your role.
• Contribute to and implement the systems level security strategy.
• Contribute to and implement the metering, monitoring and alerting strategy for system components.
• Create a platform that operates under NoDev, NoOps, NoIT principles.

Requirements:

• A drive to automate everything
• Experience in designing systems "at scale"
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration
• Strong familiarity with continuous integration and automated testing tools/frameworks
• Previous knowledge on Github, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform would be desirable
• Experience of configuring and administering Amazon Web Services (Full stack EC2, S3, VPC, RDS, Route53, ECS) is desirable
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and agile tools (such as JIRA, Confluence)
• Ability to prioritise, work to tight deadlines, manage multiple and changing priorities.
