The Role:

• Follow product layout and assembly definition, design mechanical assemblies and components using ProEngineer 3D modeling
• Work closely with optics and electronic design engineers to ensure products meet target specifications
• Prepare mechanical engineering documents, such as BOM, component specifications and technical reports, and support FMEA activities
• Draft mechanical drawings and ensure the accuracy and quality
• Independently analyze, verify mechanical design and solve technical problems using scientific approaches, such as mathematics, physics, prototyping, tolerance analysis, CAE, FEM, simulations, DOE, etc
• Prepare test plan, carry out experiment and draw conclusion for engineering experiments
• Make sound suggestions base on technical findings and task requirements
• Design fixture and calibration system for high precision mechanical assemblies
• Follow best-practice processes and ensure process excellence as defined in the Bosch Engineering System
• Support cost reduction and continuous improvements of product and process
• Support product compliance certification activities.
• Carry out component dimension inspections
• Track tooling fabrication process
  

Requirement:

• University degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Mechatronic Engineering or Applied Science
• 3 or more years of mechanical design experience
• Good understanding in mechanical design using CAD solid modeling
• Knowledge in optics would be an advantage
• Innovative - Able to generate creative ideas
• Analytical – Clear concept in physics, static and dynamic mechanics
• Good in mathematical modeling and calculation. Knowledge in analysis tool such as FEM, MATLAB, tolerance stack-up analysis etc
• Basic knowledge in material properties and selection, and manufacturing processes
• Knowledge in design drafting and geometric tolerancing
• Frequent to travel to manufacturing facilities and suppliers in Guangdong.
