Job Description

RAP COM– Hong Kong

Report to: General Manager, Area South China

 

Job Description:

  • Close measure and ensure smooth daily operational process of Customer Service, Documentation and Allocation staffs in Area South China
  • Manage the booking / space / tonnage within the capacity and import / export detention & demurrage for all services in different ASC offices / agents
  • Close coordination and communication among ASC COM teams
  • Act as a back-up / support of GLOBE, Booking, Docsys and COM issues in ASC and assist ASC offices / agents to resolve outstanding issue with Regional office in RAP
  • Lead and motivate a cohesive team in Hong Kong and South China offices, specialize and deliver excellent and professional customer / documentary service
  • Support and coordinate with other departments / LBUs / overseas office / agent to exceed or achieve the sales objective / business plan of Area South China by promoting and selling Hamburg Süd, Alianca and CCNI services
  • Attend external meeting organized by authority / organization
  • Benchmark with the competition and strengthen the competitive advantages of Hamburg Süd
  • Patiently / politely answer phone enquiries & solve customer’s problem via fax / email / phone in a prompt / enthusiastic manner
  • Encourage EDI Platform usage
  • Always ensure to protect company interest

 

Qualifications:

  • Preferably Degree or Diploma holder
  • Good communication, interpersonal skills and written in English, fluent oral Mandarin and Cantonese
  • Excellent Knowledge on MS Office applications
  • Minimum 10 years’ shipping / forwarding experience
  • Result oriented and decisive
  • Ability to quickly respond to changing market and working environment
  • Ability to communicate and to add value to customers as well as to maintain friendly relationship with them
  • Good telephone manner according to company requirement
  • Learn continuously from others to improve self-knowledge to provide better and more efficient information to customers
  • Always demonstrate as an excellent example for other staff
  • Able to manage a team to deliver the required quality customer service
  • Able to coordinate across ASC for the customer service, document and allocation issues
