Reports to             Assistant Manager, Global Learning & Development

Department           Global Learning & Talent Development

Location               Hong Kong, Chinachem Golden Plaza

 

Purpose and Objective of Position

The Learning & Development Specialist provides day-to-day administrative support for the Global Learning & Talent Development team.  Ideally, the candidate will be an individual with good organizational, time management, inter-personal, and multi-tasking skills.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Coordinating various training programs and business-related activities for the Talent Development Program, Service Schools Program, Train the Coach Program, and the Learning & Development Forum.

• Prepare training materials

• Maintain and organize training records and compile reports

• Provide administrative support to the DFS University Center for Service Development

• Prepare correspondence, reports, and presentation materials

• Prepare and process expense reports and professional fees reports in a timely and accurate manner

• Content development/tailoring for digital learning and express trainings for all Service Schools

• Consolidate research on current trends in Beauty, Watches, Wine & Spirits, Fashion and update content where applicable

• Standardize internal record keeping system for Service School trainings (coverage, training effectiveness, etc.)

• Coordinate with internal and external partners on course administration/logistics (collect participant info, ensure official forms are completed and submitted in a timely manner to external partners, invoice processing)

• Other ad-hoc projects

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

Educational Requirements

Degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration or related disciplines

Work Experience

Minimum 1-3 years working experience in training & development roles in sizeable organization.

Detailed knowledge and practical experience in corporate training development

Critical knowledge & skills including tools, software applications, language, etc.

  • Excellent command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and to work effectively as part of a team
  • Good time management, organizational, inter-personal & multi-tasking skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and video editing tools
