Duties:

• Manage all costing activities at model/SKU level for outdoor sport products through the whole Product Creation Process, such as: 
• Work with Sourcing Specialist, Product Marketing and Engineer on creation and alignment on Pre-Cost and/or Target FOB at various product creation or development stages. 
• Keep up to speed with any change in product and align product cost accordingly.
• Work with vendors to collect, review, comment and finalize Cost Breakdown (CBD) at various product development Stages
• Work with related parties for recommendation of product modification to achieve Target FOB and Margin.
• Create and Maintain a material/product cost database to  increase awareness and understanding of cost drivers for cost predictability and negotiation with vendors
• Product Life Management (PLM) system update of costing-related data.
• Support creation of product complexity classification database.
• Work on Predictive Costing Tool.

 

Education and Skills:

• Knowledge of manufacturing process of either electronic products, optical products, general hardgoods or general softgoods
• Knowledge of cost of related materials, metal and plastics, electronic components, fabrics
• Strong skills with Microsoft Excel
• English, Cantonese and Mandarin speaking
• Good communication skills
• Strong analytical skills
• Ability to work independently
• Require to travel to factories in China, and occasionaly to factories in other countries in Asia
• 5-7 years’ relevant experience
• Is adaptive and can work with ambiguity and frequent changes
