Job Description

Our client, a global leader within Removals, Relocations and Global Mobility services is looking to hire an experienced Business Development professional to join their growing operations in Tokyo.  

The Corporate Services Business Development Manager is responsible for generating new business and maintaining existing relationships in the corporate market. Will be responsible for building market positions by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Identify key account strategies for major accounts including opportunities for sales growth and cross selling of services
  • Identify market trends by researching industry and related events, publications, and announcements
  • Ensure all existing accounts have routine reviews.
  • Focus on new account development, while looking for opportunities to introduce client to a range of Relocation services including Mobility Services, Household Moving and Move Management, Records Management and associated services
  • Utilise Interact Call Histories to maintain a regular call cycle/follow up contact with potential and target corporate customers.
  • Maintain Interact database and all data entry to exacting standards
  • Assist in the development of Corporate Service business plans, goals, call targets and budgets
  • Identify and develop special projects as and when the opportunities are established
  • Conduct regular reviews with all dedicated major accounts.
  • Maintain a regular call cycle and follow up contact with corporate customers.

  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to set priorities, manage your time and workload and dependably meet strict deadlines.
  • Ensure tasks are completed within timelines to a high degree of accuracy and professionalism.

  • Solution oriented approach to problem solving and decision making.

Professional Knowledge and Skills

  • Tertiary qualification in related field and / or practical experience
  • 5 years’ experience in related field (preferred)
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to quickly build collaborative relationships with multiple and diverse stakeholders
  • Well-developed administration and organisation skills with strong attention to detail
  • Proficient computer skills with experience using Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Publisher or equivalent
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Cultural sensitivity and awareness
