Reporting to the Chief Software Lead for Helio Global Group based in US, the appointee will be responsible for the following duties:

• Lead the Shenzhen Team to build cloud applications on AWS with Java/Spring as well as iOS and Android Apps
• Communicate between and work closely with US and Asia teams on technical-level concepts
• Lead building cloud services and support real-time video streaming, storage and device management
• Support real-tie video streaming, storage and device management

Qualifications:

• BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
• Extensive software engineering background with 8+ years of experience in development / shipping production and 5+ years of software management
• Native-level written and spoken fluency in English and Mandarin, ability to translate technical concepts,  high-level strategy are a must.  Candidates that have worked in the U.S. are a plus.
• Cloud, distributed systems, web application,, and security expertise.
• Strong experience with NoSQL databases like Cassandra and DynamoDB, deployment/configuration management tools like Puppet/Chef, and other high-performance cloud frameworks like Redis and Kafka.
• Ability to think and focus on culture, distributed work, teamwork across different cultures, customer-centric, metrics-driven development in the face of a changing and ambiguous requirements.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skill
• Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to work successfully with teams across the organization, including Engineering, Product Management and Executive Leadership
• Ability to work with Product Management to generate product requirements and create software architectures and designs with the team
• High attention to detail with proven ability to handle multiple, competing priorities simultaneously and make things happen in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Strong track record of delivering production software
• Experience with multiple programming languages
