Job Description

SUMMARY

To ensure the continued safety and reliability of Kids II products through: design & sample reviews; analyzing consumer complaints & returns; initiating necessary design or production changes; and validating changes. 


To support necessary safety and reliability design changes are implemented based on field data.


To prepare and assemble samples for Singed Acceptance Sample Meetings and invite representatives involved in the product development process to assure that the product development process yields an acceptable product prior to production start

 

Interested in the day to day duties?

  • Work with Product Management and Product Research to determine consumer wants and needs prior to finalization of product design.  Use Quality Function Deployment (QFD) tools and “House of Quality” tool to determine design priorities.
  • Lead the signed acceptance sample process.  Prepare samples and schedule all Signed Acceptance Sample meetings prior to production start.  Also requires the scheduling of a multidiscipline meeting within 24 hours of receipt of the samples.  Following the meeting a meeting report of all comments and running changes must be issued.
  • Analyze physical consumer returns to determine if any product changes are necessary.  If changes are deemed necessary, then initiate an action plan to incorporate the change(s).  Follow-through with vendors and Asia Team to verify changes are incorporated and appropriate validation testing has been performed. 
  • Carry out field data analysis from retail returns to consume experience calls.  This includes but is not limited to analysis of Consumer Experience call data, retail returns data, and retail returns center audits, Consumer Insights data On-line comments.
  • Assist the Product Integrity Sustainability Manager in prioritizing, implementing and tracking of continuous improvement projects for products already in production.

 

What’s your background?

  • Degree or above in Engineering or related discipline
  • At least 5 years of work experience in the fields of engineering or quality
  • Knowledge of manufacturing process, inspection, testing of infant product
  • Familiar with MS Office applications and be able to prepare written reports
  • Good team player, able to work independently and under pressure
  • Willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required
  • Excellent communications skills in spoken and written English, Chinese (Cantonese & Mandarin)
